Individual Project.
This project focused on developing a cohesive Visual Brand Language (VBL) for the Ohio State University English Department. By analyzing the department’s essential needs, I considered how to visually represent its legacy, expertise, and functional requirements while addressing the specific needs of its students.
I explored opportunities for differentiation while maintaining alignment with OSU’s overarching brand. Key factors included colorways, proportion, dominant visual features, and strategic points of integration or divergence from the university’s established identity. The final outcome strengthens the English Department’s presence through a thoughtful and student-centered visual system.
